Yet another resort will dot the Maldivian landscape when the Kanuhara Beach and Spa resort opens in November.

Located on the Lhaviyani Atoll, 35 minutes by seaplane from the Male International Airport, Kanuhara Beach and Spa will have 97 villas, each with its own verandah overlooking the sea. Amenities include sunken bathtubs, VCD players, and e-mail connections. Four suites each will feature a second bedroom, a separate living room, and a private sundeck with jacuzzi.

The resort will have the largest health spa in the Maldives, providing aromatherapy, massages, health scrubs, facials, manicures and pedicures, and a collection of therapy pools for relaxation and revitalisation.

The millennium will be ushered in at the Kanuhara Beach & Spa resort with drama and comedy performances, themed cocktail parties and gala events.

SIMDI Hotel Managements managing director and Kanuhara Beach and Spa resort general manager Jens Reichert said, "Kanuhara will cater to holiday-makers looking for a luxury resort at affordable prices, for rest and relaxation. And yet for those who wish to embark on more active holidays, the island resort will offer leisure activities for their enjoyment."
