Tith ChanthaCambodia is planning to launch a visit Cambodia promotion in 2001, with 'Cambodia New Millennium' as the possible title.
Cambodia Ministry of Tourism marketing and promotions department deputy director Tith Chantha said the government of Cambodia had made the development of the tourism industry one of the country's top priorities.
"We're concentrating on joining more overseas exhibitions and on bilateral cooperations with our neighbouring countries of Laos, Thailand and Vietnam," said Tith Chantha.
He said Cambodia would have a millennium festival called Angkor Year 2000 dedicated to peace in Cambodia.
The festival will take place at Angkor Wat temple from December 30 to January 1 and will be a prelude to the visit Cambodia promotion in 2001.
