Dragonair is expected to sign a contract soon with the Legenda World Travel agency for once-a-week chartered flights between Hong Kong and Subic in the Philippines, according to Malaysian-owned Subic Legend Resorts and Casinos (SLRC) vice president, business development, Kelvin Tan.

The flights were expected to start on December 16, he said.

From January 1998, China Southern Airlines will also service Subic from Xiamen. From December 16, Grandair will add a direct flight on Sundays from Hong Kong, in addition to its Friday service. China Airlines now flies six times a week to Subic from Kaohsiung and three times a week from Taipei.
