Imperial Hotel rooms division director Rakesh Khetrapal said the hotel had installed GuestNet in 52 of its 250 Emerald Club rooms but was considering installing it in the remaining ones if the response was good. GuestNet International managing director Ravinder Pal said The Sofitel Melbourne will be the second hotel in the region with GuestNet, and Le Meridien Singapore and Le Meridien Changi in Singapore will follow suit this month (December). Negotiations are ongoing with the Shangri-La Singapore and the Ritz-Carlton Singapore to install GuestNet soon, said Pal.
Pages and information links can be customised according to the hotel's needs and can be viewed in other languages. Email can also be sent and received through GuestNet. The rate for half an hour's usage is S$9.95 plus S$0.30 per extra minute.
