Singapore: Former Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) vice president Asia Renton de Alwis will join the National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) as chief executive officer on December 1, 1997.

He was most recently the United Nations Development Pro-gramme's chief technical adviser with Nepal's Partnership for Quality Tourism Project.

NATAS has been seeking to fill the CEO's position for more than a year.
