Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) president Wendy Moffat announced at the World Travel Mart that SITE would research the potential of selling to government employees.
Public servants around the world are widely considered to be among the least-motivated workers. That makes them a target for incentive travel, Moffat said.
"If they (governments) were to wake up to the fact that incentives work as we know them to, they could improve productivity and solve the national debt. There's so much waste at every level that any type of incentive plan would save the taxpayer huge amounts of money and motivate the staff to provide better service."
