The 100-chalet resort features a mix of double-storey units and beach villas. With the resort's upgrading, rack rates have increased by 40 per cent.
The newly refurbished resort also features a new health and fitness centre, two spa pavilions, an additional swimming pool and another restaurant.
YTL Hotels and Properties hotel division director of sales Jeffrey Bruyns said the resort will be marketed along the same line as Pangkor Laut Resort, YTL's other exclusive property located in Perak state.
Both Tanjung Jara and Pangkor Laut are "Small Luxury Hotels in the World" members.
Bruyns said Tanjung Jara will go for a wide international guest mix from Asia Pacific and Europe. The resort also has a three-day package priced at M$568 for the domestic and Singapore markets.
Bruyns said the resort is ideal for couples celebrating special occasions, corporate incentives and regional meetings.
The resort also offers watersports, river boat cruises, fishing, visits to local tourist attractions and golf at one of the courses in the area.
Tanjung Jara is an hour drive from Trengganu airport and two hours from Kuantan airport.
