Asia-Europe Focus - Grand Alliance re-strings

Paul Richardson

The Grand Alliance lines - P&O-Nedlloyd, OOCL, NYK, Hapag-Lloyd and Malaysia International Shipping Corp - will be making changes to their Asia-Europe strings, effective this month. There will be direct calls at Xiamen and Jakarta, and increased calls at Port Klang.

Changes being made on the Asia-Europe Direct service will see a call to Port Klang dropped, and one added at Kaohsiung.

On the Asia-Europe Express a call at Singapore on the westbound leg will be dropped in favour of stops at Shekou and Port Klang.

On the China-Europe Express, calls are added to Xiamen and Shekou on the westbound leg, while Malta is dropped and added back into the eastbound service, replacing Colombo, which is dropped altogether.

The Asia-Middle East Express drops Shekou and Hong Kong, and adds Port Klang and a second call at Malta and Colombo.
