The appointment by command of His majesty the Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei, comes just 13 months after Haji Brahim rejoined the national carrier as acting managing director from the Ministry of Defence.
While de-facto head of Royal Brunei Airlines, Haji Brahim has overseen a period of rapid change in the travel industry, doing which a number of Asian airlines severely curtailed their operations.
Through prudent management Royal Brunei Airlines is better equipped to serve its customers in the new millennium as it undergoes a fleet renewal programme and an exhaustive review of its air-ground services and routes.
"We are entering a period of optimism and confidence, with many opportunities to maximise the airline's potential in cargo and passengers services," Haji Brahim said. "We are a young, dynamic company with an unparalleled track record for quality service, which is why it is my honour and privilege to lead Royal Brunei Airlines through the next stages of its development."
Haji Brahim began his career with Royal Brunei Airlines in 1983.
